DOES THE ADJUSTMENT HURT?

Under normal circumstances Chiropractic adjustments are painless.

WHAT IS THE POPPING SOUND AFTER AN ADJUSTMENT?

This occurs when proper spinal alignment is restored and gas enters or leaves the
joint space. It is not the sound of bones grinding together.
It is a normal and common experience.

WHAT TYPE OF AN EDUCATION DO CHIROPRACTORS HAVE?

Chiropractors are very highly educated and trained.  They attend Universities or
Colleges that offer the curriculum of Chiropractic.
In most countries Chiropractic is a 5-year degree with the emphasis on anatomy,
neurology, physiology, technique, diagnosis and x-ray.
Chiropractors are put through a rigorous clinical internship,
much like a medical student and gains clinical practice and experience
in supervised clinics.  Chiropractors graduate with a Degree of Chiropractic and
need to pass their respective exit and board exams for competency to graduate.

HOW OLD SHOULD A PERSON BE BEFORE HE OR SHE BEGINS CARE

As Chiropractic is safe, Chiropractic patients range in years from birth to old age.

SHOULD I GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR IF I FEEL FINE?

Even if you feel fine chiropractic care can help your body maintain its required
level of health and fitness.  Your chiropractor can recommend a preventative
spinal-care program and advise you on correct posture, dietary considerations
and  exercises.  Regular spinal check-ups can help detect and prevent spinal
distress due to subluxations just like a visit to the dentist for your teeth.

WHY DO CHIROPRACTORS TAKE X-RAYS?

Chiropractors take x-rays as another diagnostic tool to reveal the internal structure
and alignment of the spine.  We are also concerned about any underlying disease
process or disorders of the spine such as arthritis, spinal deterioration,
disc disorders, tumors and spinal curvatures etc.
